Overnight newborn care so parents can rest, usually 10pm–7am for a set number of nights each week.

About this role

Night nannies and maternity practitioners support families in the first weeks and months after a baby arrives. The work is calm, practical and deeply appreciated.

Typical responsibilities

  • Settling, feeding and changing the baby overnight
  • Supporting the mother with feeding routines
  • Sterilising equipment and keeping the nursery tidy
  • Handing over clearly each morning

What we look for

  • Newborn experience — maternity practitioner or postnatal training is an advantage
  • Enhanced DBS certificate and paediatric first aid
  • Comfortable working independently through the night
